Our approach
Our approach begins with a simple belief: gardens should feel as though they belong to their surroundings. Our landscapes are shaped by an understanding of place, planting, architecture, and the people who inhabit them, creating spaces that develop naturally over time.
The services we provide include landscape design and build, horticulture, and long-term care. Through close collaboration with designers, horticulturalists, and clients, our projects are given a strong sense of identity while remaining sensitive to the character of each site.
Planting is guided by close observation of seasonal change, soil, biodiversity, and the natural relationships between plants. Our use of materials is deliberately considered, with an emphasis on simplicity, longevity, sustainability- reducing energy and waste wherever possible.
The aim is to create gardens that feel both established and alive, places that soften the boundary between the built and natural worlds. From intimate urban gardens to larger shared landscapes, our work is designed to mature, evolve, and become richer with time.
With years of experience working across London and the South East, the Havilland team combines practical construction and horticultural knowledge with a thoughtful approach to landscape. Our gardens are made not simply aesthetic, but to be lived in, enjoyed, and carefully cared for.
